New Site/New Features by jesse

Well after a lot of time and digital elbow grease, the new web site is here! It’s been a long time coming, and we hope that it’s everything you wanted it to be.

Since you’ve read this far, I must have your attention. I want to take this opportunity to highlight a few of the new features of our colorizer, which by the way is now Flash-less and available for use on more devices including the iPad.

1. Organized Color Groups
New Color Organization
We’ve changed the way we let you choose your colors when designing a rug. All colors have been organized by hue, so that means no more annoying endlessly scrolling list of colors to choose from. If you’re looking for blues, click on blues. Simple.

Another note on color: the new site has color memory. When you color a rug and then switch to a different design, you’ll find that the colors you chose previously are already filled in for you. Helpful (we hope).

2. Real-time Shape Switching
Real Time Shape Switching
All shapes are now available for immediate switching. So you’re working on a design, and you have the colors just the way you want them. But what if your client might want a circle instead of a square? Just switch it and send it to your client. Which brings me to my next point…

3. Sharing
Share Your Rendering
One feature that has always been severely lacking from our website is the ability to share your renderings with your clients and colleagues. Well not any more. You can now email them a PDF of the rendering you’ve just put together. Even better than that, within that email is a link which leads back to the rendering allowing them to pick up where you left off, make changes, and send it right back to you. Hopefully this makes your life a lot easier.

What if you don’t want your clients coming back to our website? Download the PDF and send it to your client yourself. We’ve removed all branding from the renderings. And only if you must, print the rendering for your presentation.

Keep in mind that if you’re an iPad user, you can save the rendered PDF’s into your iBooks library. This is super handy for those paperless presentations.

It is my hope that this post has been helpful. Now go have fun playing with color, and do let us know if you have any problems or if you would like to see any other new features.
